After you install your VisSim product, use the VisSim License Manager to activate it as described below. To transfer an existing license click here. If you have a hardware key (or "dongle"), it is activated at the factory. If you want to update an existing hardware key, be sure it is connected to your PC before starting the procedure below. FIRST SEND US A LICENSE KEY REQUEST

  1. Invoke "VisSim License Manager" from the Start > Programs > VisSim 7.0 - Software folder.
  2. Click the "Request License Codes" or "Request 2nd License" button if you have an active maintenance contract and want your 2nd 1-year timed license.
    An e-mail message appears with your code entry number, computer ID, and serial number. Make sure the serial number is the one provided with your product. If you have purchased add-on software, provide their serial numbers too. Serial numbers are required for software activation.
  • Send the email - You may now exit VisSim License Manager.

Note: If you do not have e-mail access on your computer, follow the Alternate Method directions below.

THEN ENTER THE LICENSE KEYS WE SEND BACK TO YOU

Your "Enter Code" key and "Additional Code" key values will be e-mailed within three days.

Warning: Do not uninstall your VisSim product during this period or the key values we send will not work.

a. After you have received the code values, Invoke "VisSim License Manager" as in 1 above.

b. Click the "Enable License" button - The "Enable VisSim License" dialog appears.

c. Check the current values for the Code Entry Number and Computer ID against those in your original activation request. If they don’t match, resubmit the new values with an explanation of the changes. Otherwise, enter the Enter Code and Additional Code values in the appropriate boxes and click the OK button.

To activate additional product options at a later time, repeat the steps above.

ALTERNATE METHOD

Instead of clicking the "Request License Codes" button in the first step above, do the following:
a. Click the "Enable License" button.
b. Copy the Code Entry Number and ComputerID values displayed on the screen.
c. On a computer with e-mail access, create a new e-mail with “VisSim License Codes” in the Subject. In the body, enter the code entry number and computer ID values recorded in the previous step, and the serial numbers from your copy of VisSim and all add-on modules.
d. Send the e-mail to license@vissol.com.
