VSI RECEIVES MAJOR DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT FROM THE AIR FORCE RESEARCH LABORATORY (AFRL) AT EGLIN AFB FOR VISSIM HLA SUPPORT

VSI has received a major contract from the AFRL at Eglin AFB to make VisSim compliant with High Level Architecture, or HLA, (i.e., to have VisSim participate in an HLA Federation). HLA is a general-purpose architecture for the reuse and interoperability of different types of simulations developed and maintained by the Department of Defense. With over 24 VisSim licenses installed, the AFRL is VSI's largest aerospace/defense customer. The AFRL has used VisSim to develop a high-fidelity 6-degree-of-freedom modeling system that simulates the flight dynamics and performance of a state-of-the-art weapons system called MSTARS (Munition Simulation Tools and Resources). VSI AND ELECTRONICS WORKBENCH ENTER OEM AGREEMENT

LEADING BRAZILIAN AEROSPACE COMPANY EMBRAER REPORTS SUCCESSFUL VISSIM IMPLEMENTATION

After nine months of use, Embraer reports on the successful implementation of VisSim for Failure Analysis Simulation of their ERJ 170 aircraft project.
