I'm working on a TI renewable energy kit with a F2808 control card. How can I modify the existing project of a three phase inverter to get the single phase inverter? Is it enough to delete the other two phases? (but then it will be a half-bridge, in theory there are 2 pairs of switches for a single phase and 3 pairs of switches for a three phase inverter). Also I would like to implement phase shifting and changing the amplitude of the AC output voltage considering the grid AC voltage (for a power flow purpose between the kit and the grid).
I have had good success using VisSim with F2801 and F28027 but I want to design an ultimate motor control board for code development purposes. I like the TI320F28335 (the 150Mhz, 520KB Flash) DSP. Do you have any experience with this DSP? Is this the top of the line DSP that I can rely on? Will it work with VisSim? How easy it is to transfer 28335 code to a 2806 code? Does VisSim handle things differently for 28335?
If you think 28335 is not a good choice from VisSim perspective than let me know which one is?
we still have many troubles trying to load program in the flash memory of our DSP boards. It often does not work, but sometimes (less than 1% of the times) worked... Even a very simple program generally does not load into flash. We asked a couple of months ago for your help, and thanks to the informations you gave us it worked at that time. It sometimes worked since, but it is simply random : it sometimes works, very often does not work, and we don't know why.
I want to read an optical fork mounted on a drive shaft with VisSim, and I want to estimate speed and position of the drive shaft. Using eCAP I can have access to the time between two rising edges of the fork signal, which gives me the speed (I use VisSim F280X eCAP module, which works well). Having access to the eCAP register would allow me to directly estimate the position (angle).
Is it possible to have access to the eCAP register with VisSim, and how ? I put some details in the attached drawing, to explain what eCAP register means for me.

I have a diagram with > 12000 blocks and the memory usage is about 34k of program (in flash),8k of data.
The stack requirement is very low (< 128) but the problem is the heap. This diagram is asking for 2834 of heap ! I'm affraid I will need more as well.
The most that I can fit into the 280x is 1856.
How can I increase the heap memory allocation in the DSP ? What are ways in which I can manipulate my diagram to minimize the heap usage ?
I'm using your dc-2buck-f2808-d diagram as a starting point to control my buck converter. I've taken the output voltage and wired it to ADCINB0 through a 1K resistor (I know it should be buffered but I want to do a quick test). I'm assuming that c0: is the reference? So if I set that to .5 my reference would be full scale input/2? 1.5V? But when I move the slider to a non zero value, the regulator goes from 0V to full on. What am I doing wrong?
There are 2 inputs to the VisSim ePWM block and when you right click there are many many options. Are there any other blocks or items that go with or belong with the epwm module or is everything self contained. I'm trying to sync a few modules and play with timing.
I downloaded the 100+ pages of TI epwm reference (SPRU791F) so this will keep me busy. Any recommendations or tips regarding this module? Thanks
I have to say that I am very pleased with Texas Instruments latest round of DSP and microprocessor development kits. They have done an amazing job of taking the cost out of sophisticated embedded development. At one time, the JTAG pod alone cost $1500, now it is included free with the kit. They have the latest TI C2000 parts: F28335 and F28035, real-time JTAG connection to the PC, high quality analog sensors, and a very good C compiler.
